FIRE-ADAPT hosts an open day during its first gathering at the Spain study hub

FIRE-ADAPT is celebrating an open day on the 8th of May 2023 at the Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia, Solsona, Spain.  With this day, the project aims to reach out to local actors, including researchers and practitioners, and establish connections in Catalonia to widen its network of wildfire professionals working on Integrated Fire Management. The program includes an introduction to FIRE-ADAPT and two sessions of presentations by members of the consortium and invited speakers from other projects, which are followed by round tables. The FIRE-ADAPT open day is one of the activities taking place at the first consortium-wide gathering,  happening from the 26th of April to the 8th of May 2023 at the Spain study hub. The activities of these days will allow the coordination of the researchers working together on the same topic, to exchange knowledge and practices, and to learn about the reality of wildfires in Catalonia, meaning a big leap forward for the project. The Forest Science and Technology Centre of Catalonia , University of Girona, University of Lleida, Pau Costa Foundation and Research Institute for Sustainable Development are the organisers of this milestone. This is one of the six consortium-wide in-person meetings taking place throughout the project, being the next one in Mexico towards the end of the year.
